The short update by Mayor Garcetti was moderated by Eritrean American and City of Los Angeles Youth Ambassadors students at University of San Francisco: Meseret and Merhawit Mehzun. The mayor was welcomed to by Dr. Menghis Bairu. Marthon champion and Olympic medalist Eritrean American Meb Kiflezghi was also present on the call and gave his advise.
