In a survey of healthcare professionals in China treating Covid-19, a considerable proportion reported experiencing symptoms of depression, anxiety, insomnia, and distress.

Symptoms were especially prevalent among women, nurses, those in Wuhan province, and front-line healthcare workers directly engaged in diagnosing, treating, or providing nursing care to patients with suspected or confirmed Covid-19.
